MRS. VIRGIE RICHARDSONMrs. Virgie Moore Richardson, 90, widow of Walter Franklin Richardson and former resident of Dalton Avenue, died Tuesday, January 28, 2003, at Baptist Hickman Hospital in Centerville.Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 10:30 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Doug Brown officiating. Burial will be in Pisgah Cemetery in Giles County. The family will visit with friends Thursday after 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. She was a member of the Baptist Church.Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Jean (Carl) Krause of St. Joe, Michigan; Mrs. JoAnn Hammox of Columbia; one son, J. W. "Shorty" (Nancy) Richardson; ten grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren; and 7 great great grandchildren.She was preceded in death by one daughter, Willa Mae Nunnery.Pallbearers will be her grandsons, great grandsons, and grandsons-in-law.
