MRS. VIRGINIA LONGMrs. Virginia Wise Long, 78, retired employee of Maury Manufacturing and resident of Riverside Drive, died Tuesday, December 17, 2002, at Maury Regional Hospital.Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 10:30 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Clay Derryberry and Rev. Bob Adair officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Wednesday after 1:00 P.M. at the funeral home. She was a member of Highland Park Baptist Church.Survivors include her husband of sixty years, John F. Long of Columbia; two daughters, Ruby (Ronnie) Prince and Pat (Mike) Rieves, both of Columbia; three sons, Jim (Sybil) Long of Cadiz, Kentucky; Ronald (Roberta) Long and Donald Long, both of Columbia; four sisters, Mildred Bezold of Monteagle; Juanita Wise and Edith (Billy) Hasty, both of Estill Springs; Arlene (Charlie) Calloway of Jasper; six brothers, Douglas (Jane) Wise of Chattanooga; Edward (Betty) Wise of Cleveland; Stephen (Tammy) Wise of St. Louis; Bruce Wise of Shelbyville; Tommy Wise and Gary (Robin) Wise, both of Tullahoma; eighteen grandchildren; and twenty-two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by one son, John Fred Long, Jr. and one brother, Leo Wise.Pallbearers will be Danny Long, John Churchwell, Tony Stout, Kent Stewman, Johnny Stout, and Jonathan Long.
