Vivian Elaine Cook Harris, 84, resident of Las Vegas, Nevada since 1962, died January 26, 2009 at Harbor House Hospice. A graveside service will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 a.m. at Polk Memorial Gardens with Rev. Pete Tackett officiating. The family will visit with friends at graveside. While living in Columbia, for several years she served as a hostess at Holiday Inn. Survivors include a daughter, Barbara Gayle (Steve) Roberts of Las Vegas; sons, Ronald J. Harris of Las Vegas and Rodney Alan (Tina) Harris of Denver, Colorado; a sister, Barbara Cook Earwood McIntire of Columbia; grandchildren, Debbie Roberts, Kathey (James) Govoreau, Donald Bryan (Jackie) Harris, Madison Harris, Breanna Harris, Kelsey Harris, Stephanie Harris, Whitney Harris, Keagan Harris, Nicholas Harris; great-grandchildren, Austin Klein, Mitchell Klein, Emily Govoreau, Carter Harris, and Ryley Harris; a niece, Lea (Eddie) Ables of Columbia; a nephew, John (Janet) Earwood of Columbia. She was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Lee Harris of Las Vegas.
