W.M. Scott Mr. W.M. Scott, 56, steelworker and resident of Stephens Road, died Thursday, March 17, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 3 p.m., Sunday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Joe Rhodes officiating. Burial will be in Middle Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery with military honors provided by the United States Army. The family will visit with friends Saturday from 4-8p.m. and Sunday from 1-3p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Hope House, P.O. Box 1961, Columbia, Tennessee, 38402. He served fourteen years of active duty in the United States Army and in the National Guard including a tour of duty in Vietnam and Korea. Survivors include his wife of thirty three years, Linda Faye McCullom Scott of Columbia; one daughter, Melissa Scott (Chris) Clark of Columbia; one son, Martin Dale Scott of Columbia; one brother, Ricky Scott of Columbia; five grandchildren, Ceirra Scott, Cheyenne Scott, Alexis Clark, Mercedez Clark and Kristian Clark; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers and two sisters. Pallbearers will be Donnie Fitzgerald, Danny Fitzgerald, David Fitzgerald, David Estes, Larry Smithson and Andy Smithson. Honorary pallbearers will be John Bunch, Junior Thomason, Carl Crosby, Tim Estes, Lewis McCullom, Chad Grissom, Fred High, Adrian Slick and Charlie Fitzgerald.
