View Video Tribute Waller Stanfill “Stan” Farris was born to Ruth and Mac Farris in Maury County Tennessee on July 12, 1933. He passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, July 16, 2022 at the age of 89. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jeremy Butt and Barry Farris officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 P.M. – 7:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Mr. Farris was a faithful and long-time member of Northview Church of Christ. Stan was a veteran of the United States Army, upon returning home he was employed by DuPont for 42 years. He enjoyed puzzles and watching game shows. His greatest joy was spending time with family. Mr. Farris is survived by his wife, whom he married January 25, 1959, Archie Lee Farris; sons, Stan (Pattie) Farris, Steve Farris (Stacey Crowell and her daughter, MaKenna); granddaughter, LeAnna (Chris) Landwehr; great grandchildren, Lakelyn Landwehr, Kye Landwehr; brother, Kenneth Farris; sister, Mary Gilmore; and many beloved nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Mr. Farris was preceded in death by his grandsons, Paxton Farris, Brandon Farris; and his sisters, Margaret Cavender, and Lucy Jo Roberts. Active pallbearers will be Carl Sellers, Ernie Cavender, Tim “Buck” Cavender, Randy Farris, Ronnie Farris, and David Farris. Honorary pallbearers include Larry Weaver, Kevin Farris, and Hardee’s Round Table group. The family would like to express a special thanks to all the wonderful friends and family that extended efforts and cared for Stan in the last several months. As well as a very special thank you to Carol Jean and Carl Sellers and Charlotte Gray for the tremendous amount of love, care, and times bestowed to him.
