Weaver Faye Attkisson

Miss Weaver Faye Attkisson, 67, retired from Child Care Services of Maury County and resident of the Culleoka Community, died Friday, May 9, 2008 at NHC Hillview. The family will visit with friends Sunday from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols concluding with funeral services at 2:00 p.m. with Mike Tidwell officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late U. B. Attkisson, Sr. and Violet Lee Tyler Attkisson. She was a member of Eastside Church of Christ. Survivors include three sisters, Dorothy (William) Hardison of Giles County, Margaret McCormick of Columbia, and Eleanor England of Culleoka; a brother, Charles Attkisson of Illinois; several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by a sister, Gladys Witherspoon and two brothers, J. W. Attkisson and U. B. Attkisson, Jr. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
