View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Gail Potts Neenan, loving wife and mother, passed away peacefully on Thursday, January 28, 2021, at the age of 71. Gail was born in Columbia, TN, on August 27, 1949, daughter of the late Papa (James Vernon) and Big Ma (Bertie Gupton) Potts. Raised in Lewisburg, Gail came from humble beginnings. By the age of 28, she had lost her parents, both unexpectedly. It is from these experiences that Gail realized the importance of family and selflessly poured her life into caring for her loved ones. First and foremost, Gail was a devoted mother to her four children. As most family and friends (and a few unlucky neighbors) can attest, raising the Massey kids was an adventure! Pranks and antics aside, Gail was true blue - loyal to her kids through and through. So much so that each one knew that she would always have their back and was trusted to cover for them when they needed it. Gail was a nurturer and a giver. She had a heart of gold and would go out of her way to help anybody. Cooking was one of her favorite pastimes and she was known to whip up the most delicious meals, oftentimes enough to feed a small army. Gail loved listening to Elvis and shopping on QVC, but she especially loved her role as grandmother and was lovingly referred to as Oma, KeKe and Darlin’ by her grandchildren. Gail will be lovingly remembered by her husband of 27 years, George of Clarksville; her children Tim Massey of Clarksville, Jay (Jennifer) Massey of Spring Hill, Diana (David) Moore of Clarksville, and David (Leslie) Massey of Spring Hill. In addition to the children, she was so fiercely devoted to, Gail leaves grandchildren Keegan, Taylor, Garrett, Willie, Victoria and Sean; bonus grandchildren Matt, Zach, Ben, Jennalyn and Jacob; brother Jack Garrett; nieces Kim Park and Pam Newman; a host of beloved cousins, and an army of friends; One brother-in-law and four sisters-in-law. Friends are invited to say a final goodbye to Gail at Oakes & Nichols in Columbia on Monday, February 1, 2021. Visitation for family and friends will be from 12:00 – 2:00 with service beginning at 2:00. Graveside service at Haynes Cemetery in Culleoka immediately following. The family requests that all attendees follow CDC guidelines on social distancing and facial coverings are required. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.
