Wendell Ray Dodson

View Video Tribute Wendell Ray Dodson, 76, maintenance manager for Avco, Texiron, and Aerostructures, died Thursday, June 9, 2022 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Brandon Cochran officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 12:00 P.M. until service time at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born April 5, 1946 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Claude Marshall Dodson and the late Lura Elizabeth Uzell Dodson. Mr. Dodson loved his family and was of Baptist faith. Survivors include his son, Kevin Dean Dodson of Columbia; daughter, Wendy Lynn (Tracy) Lee of Chapel Hill; brother, Kenneth Odell “Kenny” Dodson of Columbia; five grandchildren; five great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sisters, Rebecca Shepard, Elizabeth Fralix, and Palma Fox; and brother, Buddy Dodson. Active pallbearers will be family and friends.
