Wilba Tulloss Rozell Hill

April 18, 1919 — October 8, 2006

Mrs. Wilba Tulloss Rozell Hill, 87, long-time resident of the Nashville Highway, died Sunday, October 8, 2006 at Lynchburg Nursing Center. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nicholswith Dr. Bill Williamson officiating. Burial will be in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Franklin. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to First Presbyterian Church, 601 North High Street, Columbia 38401. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. The Davidson County native was the daughter of the late Joseph Jerdon Tulloss and Martha Little Tulloss. She was a graduate of Ward-Belmont College in Nashville and taught kindergarten for several years at Donelson Presbyterian Church. Her first husband, Joseph A. "Sandy" Rozell, Jr., died in 1959. Mrs. Hill came to Columbia in 1965 to make her home with her second husband, the late Ed Hill, Jr., manager of the Coca Cola Bottling Company. Mr. Hill died July 7, 1999. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church, James K. Polk Memorial Association, and Maury County Garden Club. Survivors include a son, Joseph (Charmayne) Rozell of Lewisburg; a step-son, Ed Hill, III of Nashville; a step-daughter, Beverly Odum of Nashville; four grandchildren; four great-grandchildren. Pallbearers are Troy Odum, Joshua Odum, Ernie Phiffer, Bill Summar, Bill Casselberry, and Johnny Satterwhite.
