View Video Tribute View Funeral Webcast Mr. William “Billy” Taylor Crowe, 89, long time resident of the Rally Hill Community, died Saturday, February 19, 2022 at The Reserve in Spring Hill. Funeral services for Mr. Crowe will be conducted Wednesday, February 23rd at 2:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Dave Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Jones Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born on April 8, 1932 in Maury County, he was the son of the late Edwin Crowe and the late Margaret “Maggie” Floyd Crowe. He was a graduate of Spring Hill High School Class of 1950 and went on to join the Army National Guard and the U.S. Army 101st Airborne Division where he served in the Korean War and served as supply sergeant at Fort Jackson, South Carolina. He was married Emma Jean Burns Crowe on June 7, 1952. Mr. Crowe was a dairy farmer for over 50 years and was the first person in Maury County to be presented with the Outstanding Young Farmers of the Year award by Farm Bureau. He was the co-owner and broker/realtor with Bonnie Potts, Crowe- Potts Realty and retired from United Country Columbia Realty Co. where he was a real estate agent for many years. Among his many awards and recognitions are Lifetime Achievement Award, Realtor of the Year, and Century 21 Top Office in the South every year for many years. Mr. Crowe’s favorite past time was fishing. He was a member of the Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19, charter member of the Spring Hill Lions Club, and a member of Spring Hill First United Methodist Church. In addition to his wife of 69 years, he is survived by his son, William David (Kristen) Crowe of Woodbridge, Virginia; daughter, Debbie Crowe (Mike) Leming of Nolensville; grandchildren, Ashley (Nick) Jacobson, Lucca Taylor Crowe, and Robin Crowe; great- grandchildren, Cameron Jacobson and Avery Jacobson; niece, Glenda (Jerry) Olive; brother-in-law, William Burns; sisters-in-law, Catherine Choate, Margaret Billington, and Linda Brown.; and numerous nieces and nephews on the Burns side. Pallbearers will be Nick Jacobson, Cameron Jacobson, Avery Jacobson, Michael Bailey, Levi Andrews and Jamie Gentry. Honorary pallbearers will be Randy Fitzgerald, Danny & Jean Cathey, Betty & Ray Holden, Melissa & Daryl Potts, Jonathan Hickerson, Bonnie Potts, Mike Leming, Doug Johnson, Beth Judd, past and present friends & co-workers in the real estate community.
