Mr. William Charles "Bill" Bolton, 68, Maury County Commissioner of the 8th District since 1998 and resident of Carpenter's Bridge Road, died Friday, March 4, 2005 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 11:00 a.m. at the West Seventh Street Church of Christ with Andrew Roberts and Ricky Clay officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. He was a 1955 graduate of Columbia Central High School and a member of Jackson Heights Church of Christ. He worked as an electrician for 25 years at Monsanto Company and 10 years at General Electric. Since his retirement he has been associated with the Maury County Solid Waste Department. Survivors include his wife of 43 years, Glenda Clay Bolton of Columbia; two daughters, Dana (Billy) Tanner and Denise Bolton of Columbia; two sons, Jeff (Tracy) Bolton and Jason (Jessica) Bolton of Columbia; six grandchildren, Nicole Tanner, Joshua Bolton, Jared Bolton, Jace Bolton, Joey Bolton and Blake Bolton; a brother, Benny (Alice) Bolton of Columbia; six sisters, Evelyn (Billy) Felker, Shelby (Herman) Hanvy, Betty (Donald) Thomas, Letha (Danny) Smith, all of Columbia, Bonnie (Art) Dukes of Atlanta, Georgia and Mary Joyce (Bill) Adkison of Dickson; several nieces and nephews.
