William Padgett "Pat" Carroll, Jr., 62, former employee of Triangle Auto Springs and owner/operator of C& F Trucking Company, died Sunday, April 1, 2018 at his daughter and son-in-law's residence on Chestnut Drive. Funeral services will be conducted Wednesday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Chris Westfall officiating. Burial will follow in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Tuesday from 4:00 P.M. - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born September 22, 1955 in Maury County, Tennessee, he was the son of the late William Padgett Carroll, Sr. and the late Lois Holcomb Carroll. He was a 1972 graduate of Columbia Central High School and was an Associate Liaison for the Vietnam Veterans Chapter 128. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great grandchildren, watching Alabama football and raising roses and irises. Mr. Carroll was a member of the Junior Order of American Mechanics and of Baptist faith. Survivors include his wife, whom he married June 14, 1982, Judy Green Carroll of Columbia; children, Gene (Jennifer) Wright of Columbia; Jeffrey (Fonda) Wright of Columbia; Dawn (Chris) Westfall of Columbia; and Stephanie (Joe) McClendon of Mt. Pleasant; grandchildren, Jon (Jackie) Nichols; Logan McClendon; and Brandon Cummings; great grandchildren, Nevaeh Myers; and Jeremiah Nichols; brothers, Freeman (Marsha) Carroll of Lewisburg; and Jeffrey Carroll of Culleoka; nieces, Raven Carroll; Liz Carroll; Britany (T.J.) Tice; Amy (Tom) Sutton; and Christy Carroll; aunts, Mildred Holcomb; Sammy (Bob) Mason; and Meryln Holcomb; uncles, Hal (Belinda) Holcomb; and Ray (Debbie) Holcomb; and his Furry Children, The Crew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his grandparents, Hazel Carroll and Mildred Gifford Carroll; Freeman Holcomb, Sr. and Mattie Mannon Holcomb; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Edwin A. Green and Louise A. Green; brother-in-law, Earl Green; aunts, Oaklene Owens; and Freeman Ann Shacklett; and uncle, Samuel Freeman Holcomb.
