MR. WILLIAM L. "BILL" COPELANDMr. William L. "Bill" Copeland, 69, retired from the Tennessee Department of Employment Security and former long-time resident of Hillcrest Avenue, died Wednesday, December 25, 2002.Graveside services will be conducted Saturday at 10:30 a.m. at Rose Hill Cemetery with Rev. Jim Collins officiating. Military honors at the graveside will be provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. Arrangements are by Oakes & Nichols Funeral Directors. He served in the U. S. Air Force from 1961 to 1963 and was a member of Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19.His wife, Anna Ruth Matheny Copeland, died January 12, 2001.Survivors include a daughter, Ina (Eddie) Wilson of Pittsboro, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Jennifer (Jeff) Jones and Shannon (Shawn) Burns; three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
