William Martin "Bill" Frey, Sr., 61, retired from self-employed retail sales and resident of Antioch, died Monday, October 6, 2008 at Alive Hospice of Nashville. Family and friends will gather for a Celebration of Life at 2:00 p.m. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols. Visitation will be from 1:00 to 2:00 p.m. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The Nashville native attended Howard School and served in the U. S. Army. He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Nicholson Frey of Antioch; children, Patricia (Danny) Arnold, Wiliam Martin Frey, Jr., and Melissa (Michael) Barnes, of Nashville; sisters, Darlene Preston of Carthage and Pamela (Scott) Newman of Wilmington, N.C.; brothers, Jerry Lee (Linda) Frey, Larry Paul Bingham, Charles Randall Bingham, and Tony Lee Bingham, all of Carthage; grandchildren, Amanda (Johnny) Dye, Andrew Arnold, Aaron Arnold, Justin Barnes, and Ryan Barnes; 2 great-grandchildren; father-in-law, Thomas Nicholson of Mt. Pleasant; sisters-in-law, Patricia McClanahan, Lavinia (Paul) Gossett of Mt. Pleasant, Cynthia (Larry) Jarnigan of Brentwood, and Christy (Scott) Badger of Nashville; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, Joseph Martin Frey and Carrie Evelyn Jackson Bingham; brother, Thomas Wayne Frey; two grandsons, Timothy Barnes and Michael Barnes.
