MR. WILLIAM F. GALLE Mr. William Francis Galle, 86, retired glass glazer for Tyler & Hiddach in Illinois and a resident of Blue Ridge Drive, died Saturday, March 27, 2004 at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Catherine Catholic Church with Father Patrick Connor officiating. Burial will be in the Polk Memorial Gardens with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols concluding with a Prayer Service at 7:00 p.m. Notes of sympathy may be sent to www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of Chicago, Illinois, he was the son of the late William Galle and Frances Donovitch Galle. He served in the U. S. Army during World War II, was a member of Herbert Griffin American Legion Post #19 and a communicant of St. Catherine Catholic Church. Survivors include his wife, Eleanor Lebica Galle of Columbia; a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Catherine Galle of Columbia; three grandchildren, Maureen (Kyle) Cornwall of Columbia, Christine Galle of Ackworth, Georgia, William J. P. Galle of Seattle, Washington; two great-grandchildren, Katelyn Cornwall and Chastity Cornwall. He was preceded in death by two sisters, Dorothy Lundwig and LaVerne Vice and a brother, Lawrence Galle. Friends and neighbors will serve as pallbearers.
