William Glynne Rummage, II, 31, owner of Rummage Property Management and resident of Columbia, died Sunday, July 8, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 10:00 A.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Jeremy Butt officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born November 21, 1986 in Maury County, he was the son of Laura Jane Rummage and the late William Glynne “Billy Glynne” Rummage. He was a 2005 graduate of Columbia Central High School, where he played football. After high school, he worked for Amber Electric and was a former long-distance trucker for Werner Enterprise. Glynne enjoyed being outdoors, especially attending tractor pulls with his father as a child. In addition to his mother, Laura Jane Rummage of Columbia; survivors include his sister, Nelia Lynne Gibson of Columbia; half-brother, Ronnie (Paula) Rummage of Brentwood; nieces, Kelsey Lyne Gibson of Columbia; Sarah Ann (Seth) Neller of Texas; nephews, Korbin Leighton Gibson of Columbia; Ryan (Claire) Rummage of Birmingham; maternal grandfather, Elmer Rummage of Columbia; uncles, Lee (Pam) Rummage; Gene (Phyllis) Rummage; Randel (Judy) Rummage; great aunts, Shirley (Randy) Wright; Helen (Thomas) Malugin; great uncle, Bobby (Martha) Baker; and many cousins. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Glynn and Brownie Rummage; maternal grandmother, Charlotte Baker Rummage; and brother-in-law, Tim Gibson. Active pallbearers will be Matt Rummage, Matthew Tapper, Michael Stewart, Allen Walker, Steven Cannady, and Bobby Shields.
