Bill Landry William Paul "Bill" Landry, 64, retired employee of Zeneca in Mt. Pleasant and resident of Experiment Station Lane, died Wednesday, September 29, 2004, at Maury Regional Hospital. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 4:00 - 8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. A native of New Orleans, Louisiana, he was the son of the late Joseph Landry and Mary Moore Landry. He served in the U. S. Army. After his retirement from Zeneca and Local 492 Iron Workers, Mr. Landry worked at the Maury County Landfill on Highway 31. He was a member of Berea Church of Christ. Survivors include his wife of forty-four years, Nancy Pruitt Landry of Columbia; one daughter, Shannon Allen of Columbia; one son, Tracy Landry of Columbia; four grandchildren, Dustin Harrington, Cory Harrington, Delaney Allen, and Kacey Landry, all of Columbia; seven sisters, Mary Jo Smith, Betty Landry, Debbie Micheal, Peggy (Jeff) Schober, Gaye Lynn (Frank) Elder, Bobbie Terribone, and June ("PeeWee") Hall, all of Louisiana; and five brothers, Joseph (Shirley) Landry, Jr., Roland (Anne) Landry, Patrick (Daisy) Landry, and Tony (Donna) Landry, all of Louisiana; Raymond (Beverly) Landry of Mississippi. He was preceded in death by one brother, Roy Landry. Pallbearers will be Mark Runions, Bill Doelle, Billy Pruitt, Mack Liggett, Jerry Fly, and Jackie Sprouse. Honorary pallbearers will be men of Mooresville Pike Church of Christ, men of Berea Church of Christ, and employees of Cytec Industries.
