Mr. William Andrew Luster, 77, retired employee of TVA in Gallatin, died Tuesday, December 28, 2004 at Banks-Jackson-Commerce Medical Center in Commerce, Georgia. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m., Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Rev. Bob Rush officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery with military honors provided by Herbert Griffin American Legion Post 19. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4 - 6 p.m. at Alexander Funeral Home in Gallatin and again Saturday from 12 noon until 2 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. On April 21, 1952 he married Billie Ruth Eaton Luster who preceded him in death February 8, 1986. He attended Maury County Schools and served in the United States Navy during WWII. Survivors include one daughter, Linda Ruth (Gary) Whittaker of Commerce, Georgia; one sister, Ellie Marie (George) Hight of North Pekin, Illinois; two grandchildren, Terrie Crowder and William Ray Crowder; one great-grandson, Joshua Cole; two sister-in-laws, Martha Ruth Luster of Culleoka and Gin Luster of Peoria, Illinois; and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers, John B. Luster, Fred Luster and J.T. Luster. Pallbearers will be family and friends.
