Sales & Service and the Colonial Motel, died Sunday, March 27, 2005 at his residence on the Old Bear Creek Pike. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 3:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Clyde Denton officiating. Burial will be in the Jones Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. He was a graduate of Columbia Central High School. Survivors include his wife, Ollie Scott Minor of Columbia;a daughter, Tanya Minor Combs of Nashville; son, Joe Kent Minor of Columbia; grandchildren, Mandy (Rob) Eldridge of Portland and Joshua Smith of Leoma; great-grandson, Ethan Robert Eldridge; sister, Faye (Sonny) Hill of Columbia; niece and nephews, Nan Hawkins, Mark Hill and Ben Hill. Active pallbearers are Ronnie Erwin, Sonny Hill, Dale Ring, John Chadwell, Bob Lee, Ray Williams, David Fitzgerald, Larry Newberry, Tommy McCaleb and Norman Brown.
