William Sherrill Benderman, 66, lifelong resident of Mt. Pleasant, died Wednesday, January 9, 2019 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 1:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Randy Kersey and Andy Pogue officiating. Burial will follow in Watts Hill Cemetery. Born September 4, 1952 in Maury County, he was the son of the late William Eugene Benderman and the late Emme Esterlene Attkisson Benderman. He was a 1971 graduate of Mt. Pleasant High School. Mr. Benderman was former owner of Benderman Plumbing and Electric, former Iron Worker for Local Union 492 as a welder, and later retired as a long-haul truck driver. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed bird hunting, deer hunting, and fishing. He was a member of Spencer Hill Church of Christ and a 32nd Degree Mason in the Ed Workman Lodge #610 in Mt. Pleasant. Survivors include his son, William Rodney (Kristen) Benderman of Lawrenceburg; daughter, Brittany Jean Benderman of Nashville; and mother of his children, Jean King Manier. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers.
