MR. WILLIAM C. STREET Mr. William C. Street, 92, retired from the maintenance department of Columbia Military Academy and a resident of Mapleash Avenue, died Sunday, August 11, 2002 at NHC of Columbia. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2:00 p.m. at the Pentecostal Church of Jesus Christ with Rev. Henry Mobley officiating. Burial will be in the Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Monday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Oakes & Nichols. The Limestone County, Alabama native was the son of the late Columbus Walter Street and Katie Mae Casteel Street. Survivors include his wife, Velma Haggermaker Street of Columbia; seven daughters, Mrs. Luella Wells of Nashville, Mrs. Riley (Gracie) King of Mt. Pleasant, Mrs. Ray (Dellie) Wolfe of Friendship, Wisconsin, Mrs. Houston (Dorothy) Thomason of Columbia, Mrs. Glynn (Helen) Dale of Columbia, Mrs. Mac (Carolyn) King of Columbia, Mrs. Billy (Patricia) Rochelle of Mt. Pleasant; three sons, Columbus L. (Georgia) Street, Bobby Lee (Mary) Street and Charles Ray (Nicole) Street, all of Columbia; a sister, Mrs. Mabel Vaughn of Columbia; thirty-four grandchildren; thirty-three great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
