View Funeral WebcastWillie Mae Fitzgerald Agent Buell, 87, retired laundress for NHC Merihill and resident of Barbara Dobbins Court, died Friday, July 24, 2009 at St. Thomas Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Monday at 10:00 a.m. at Oakes & Nichols with Rev. Robert Adair officiating. Burial will be in Friendship Cemetery. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late John Alexander Fitzgerald and Maggie Lee Agent Fitzgerald. She was a member of the Southern Baptist Church. Survivors include daughters, Lorene Collins of Columbia, Ruby (James) Cates of Chapel Hill, Linda (Shane) Hester of Columbia, and Joyce Fautt of Lewisburg; sons, Thomas Wayne Agent and Dakota Agent of Columbia; grandchildren, Rhonda Fautt of Lebanon, Chris Fautt of Chicago, Illinois, Michael (Ruth Ann) Fautt of Lewisburg, David Adkison, Lisa Adkison, Joshua (Shannon) Adkison of Columbia, Jason (Holly) Adkison of Huntville, Alabama, Sherry (Jesse) Wallace and Carolyn (Phillip) Burns of Chapel Hill, Darlene (Chris) Byrd of Lewisburg, Audrey Agent, and Laura Agent of Columbia; many great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; her husband, Jeff C. Buell of Columbia, whom she married December 16, 1980. She was preceded in death by her first husband and father of her children, Lester Nathaniel "Bug" Agent in April, 1964; sons, Lester Lee Agent and Larry Gene Agent; a grandson, William Ray Collins, Jr.; sister, Lorene Fitzgerald; brothers, Kelly Fitzgerald, P.A. Fitzgerald, and Clarence "Pap" Fitzgerald. Active pallbearers are Michael Fautt, Jason Adkison, Joshua Adkison, David Adkison, Cory Burns, and Shane Hester. Honorary pallbearers include nurses and staff of NHC Columbia and Quality First Home Health Care.
