Mrs. Willie Mae Ring Riddle, 90, retired licensed practical nurse and resident of Shawnee Drive, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008 at Life Care Center. Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with David Davidson and Curtis Dowdy officiating. Burial will be in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 5 - 8 p.m. and Saturday from 10 - 11a.m. at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Maury County native was the daughter of the late Arlington Cromer Ring and Eva Holcomb Ring. She was a member of Highland Church of Christ and was previously a longtime member of the Cathey's Creek Church of Christ. Survivors include her husband of 74 years, Raymond Anderson Riddle of Columbia; two daughters, Sandra Eddlemon of Huntsville, Alabama, Cathy (George) Butterworth of Columbia; one son, Bob (Eleanor) Riddle of Franklin; two brothers, Ted Ring of Columbia, Billy Joe Ring of Chapel Hill; 8 grandchildren, Robyn (David) Tarkington of Danville, Kentucky, Denise (Jay) Craig of Hixson, Edie (Michael) Crosby of Ringgold, Georgia, Debbie (Jon) Shepherd of Huntsville, AL, Andy (Sheralee) Riddle of Rockvale, Dr. Nathan (Linlee) Butterworth of Danville, Virginia, Zach Butterworth and Tabatha Butterworth both of Columbia; 15 great-grandchildren; and 4 great-great grandchildren. Pallbearers will be Thomas Claiborne, Gary McCandless, Don Riddle, Jim Riddle, Roger Riddle, Terry Ring, Ted Ring, Jr. and Randy Whitman. Honorary pallbearers will be Carolyn Curry, Heather Hooper, Elizabeth Cline, Rita Langford, Mary Ann Hughes and the ASU staff at Life Care Center. Singers will be Jay Craig, Denise Craig and Drew Craig.
