View Funeral Webcast Mrs. Willie Mae Huff Stofel, 96, widow of the late Bernard Stofel and retired employee of E. I. DuPont, died Monday, February 15, 2016. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Thursday at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with David Stofel officiating. Burial will be in Rose Hill Cemetery. The family will visit with friends Thursday from 12:00 - 2:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Born September 8, 1919 in Williamson County, she was the daughter of the late John M. Huff and Mattie Jones Huff. On February 25, 1939, she married Bernard Stofel who preceded her in death September 23, 2005. She was preceded in death by her grandson, John Liggett Stofel; two brothers, Frank Huff and Allen Huff; and a sister, Margie Roberts of Louisville, Kentucky. Survivors include her two sons, Charles W. (Barbara) Stofel of Columbia and Dwight S. (Kathi) Stofel of Paris Landing; grandchildren, Jessica Lee Stofel of Morrison, Scott (Abbie) Stofel of Spring Hill, and George (Shannon) Stofel of Columbia; five great grandchildren; and a special niece, Linda Stofel Hendley of Columbia. Active pallbearers will be George Stofel, Scott Stofel, Wade Allen, Mike Allen, Douglas L. Wright, Jr., James L. Stofel, and Weston Stofel. Honorary pallbearers include members of the Sunshine Sunday School Class of Highland Park Baptist Church, retired co-workers of E.I. DuPont Company and special friend, Faye Claude of Mt. Pleasant.
