Mrs. Wilma Paysinger Bass Dunnavant, 72, retired employee of Union Carbide and resident of Habersham Road, died Thursday, February 24, 2005, at Centennial Medical Center in Nashville. Funeral services will be conducted at 12 noon, Saturday, at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Ted Burleson and Leon Reed officiating. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery in Pulaski. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4- 7 p.m. and Saturday from 11-12 at the funeral home. Notes of sympathy may be sent to the family at www.oakesandnichols.com. The Giles County native was the daughter of the late Dell Dewey Paysinger and Bessie Downing Paysinger. She was a graduate of Martin Methodist College. She was first married to Charles G. Bass who preceded her in death on January 10, 1991 then later married Robert Hayes Dunnavant who preceded her in death on November 16, 2002. Mrs. Dunnavant was a Maury Regional Hospital volunteer and a member of the Thursday Literary Club. She was a member of West 7th Street Church of Christ. Survivors include her daughter, Patricia Bass (Jeff) Barr of Los Alamos, New Mexico; one step-son, Barry Hayes Dunnavant of Atlanta, Georgia; one grandson, Charles Bryson Bowling of New Mexico; one brother, Thomas Paysinger of Nashville; three sisters-in-law, Willa Ruth Sharp, Dolores (William) Walters both of Columbia, Johnetta Beasley of Murfreesboro; and one brother-in-law, Jim (Carolyn) Dunnavant of Lynnville. She was preceded in death by one brother, Lester Paysinger. Pallbearers will be Steve Gordon, Stephen Gordon, Jeff Sharp, David Sharp, Barry Dunnavant, Joel Allen, Rick Marshall and John Marshall. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Maury Regional Auxiliary, members of the Thursday Literary Club, retired employees of Union Carbide and UCAR, members of Porter King Sunday School Class, J.W.Locke, Faye and Ray Locke, Jean and Robert Jones, Leesa and Randy Stevens, and Karen and Jeff Seaman.
