View Funeral Webcast View Video Tribute Frick Hodges Hickman, 74, retired real estate agent for Coldwell Bankers Barnes, died Tuesday, February 21, 2023, at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 11:00 A.M. at First United Methodist Church in Columbia with Reverend Lory Catlett and Reverend Lee Stevenson. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 P.M. – 8:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home. The family suggests memorials may be made to First United Methodist Church Wheelchair Ramp Program, 222 West Seventh Street, Columbia, TN 38401. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born June 2, 1948, in Knoxville, he was the son of the late Ray Halmer Hickman and the late Fern Hodges Hickman. In 1971, he graduated from the University of Tennessee at Knoxville with a degree in Industrial Engineering. For twenty years, he worked for Eraser Products in Lewisburg and from 2001-2021 was a real-estate agent for Coldwell Bankers Barnes. Mr. Hickman was a very active member of First United Methodist Church in Columbia and devoted to the Wheelchair Ramp ministry. Mr. Hickman enjoyed fly fishing and hunting. Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather Survivors include his wife, Pamela Ytzen Hickman of Columbia; daughters, Amy (Brian) Pruitt of Brooklyn, New York; Sarah (Patrick) Farrell of Memphis; sons, Andrew (Blair) Hickman of Columbia; Daniel (Grace) Hickman of Toms River, New Jersey; grandchildren, Samuel Pruitt, Charles Pruitt, Stella Pruitt, Mary Hayes Pruitt, Parkes Hickman, Kodak Hickman, Enoch Hickman; sister-in-law, Phyllis (Gary) May; and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Blaik Hickman. Active pallbearers will be Alexander Erwin, Zachary Hickman, Allen Lentz, Clement Ledbetter, Mike Cook, Mack Holt, Hugh Erwin, and Julius Johnson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Corn, Ben Davidson, Jim Yarbrough, Jim Bucher, Eddie Hays, Chad Holliday, Jr., Covenant Sunday School Class, and Columbia Kiwanis Club.
