John Scott Ludden, 76, retired supervisor with Nissan and resident of Mingo Branch Road in Santa Fe, died Wednesday, March 16, 2016 at Maury Regional Medical Center. Funeral services will be conducted Saturday at 3:30 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Reverend Gene Shelton officiating. Burial will follow in Polk Memorial Gardens. The family will visit with friends Friday from 4:00 - 6:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com. Born December 18, 1939 in Fort Madison, Iowa he was the son of the late John Ludden and Janie Quinlan Ludden. He attended Creighton University in Nebraska and served in the United States Army. An avid animal lover, he enjoyed his three special dogs. Mr. Ludden was of Catholic Faith and attended Elmore Church of the Nazarene. Survivors include his wife whom he married December 18, 1987, Bobbye Roberts Ludden of Santa Fe; daughters, Susan Ludden of San Diego, CA, Jennifer Ludden of Washington D.C.; step daughter, Debbie (Jim) Dotson of Santa Fe; step son, Randy (Wanda) Roberts of Santa Fe; sister, Janet Abolt of Iowa; special cousin, Jerry and Jennie Ludden of Michigan; and nephew, Todd Abolt. Active pallbearers will be Mark Rector, Charles Pigg, Elton Mitchell, Ronald Blocker, and other friends and family. Honorary pallbearers include members of Elmore Church of the Nazarene.
