Mrs. Mary Eloise Casteel Campbell, 79, longtime resident of South High Street in Columbia, died Sunday, May 30, 2021 at her residence. A memorial service for Mrs. Campbell will be conducted Sunday, June 6, 2021 at 1 p.m. at Smyrna Church of Christ 1302 Smyrna Church Road Culleoka, Tennessee 38451 with Mike Bryan & Everette Campbell officiating. Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home is in charge of local arrangements. Born March 11, 1942 in Lawrence County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late James H. Casteel and the late Daisy M. Cox Casteel. Mrs. Campbell attended Central High School. On March 2, 1960 she married Glen H. Campbell and they were married for 61 wonderful years. She worked many years with the mentally challenged at King’s Daughters and also worked at Maury Regional. Mrs. Campbell was a wonderful wife, mother and granny, a beautiful seamstress and home renovator. In addition to her husband, she is survived by her son, Matt (Candice) Campbell of Hampshire; daughters, Kim (Dean) Thompson of Silver City, New Mexico and Tina Campbell Cox of Columbia; grandchildren, Jessica Thompson, Stephanie Thompson of Silver City, New Mexico, Sarah (Cory) Peek, Holly C (Morgan) Bader of Seattle, Washington, Madison Campbell and Macie Campbell all of Hampshire; great-grandchildren, Alijah Thompson, Peyton Thompson, Cameron Thompson, Landon Thompson, MacKenzie Thompson all of Silver City, New Mexico, William McAdams, Sydney McAdams, Parker McAdams, and Maddox Peek all of Columbia. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Odis Casteel, Leo Casteel and James D. Casteel
